Sweet Respite

B and I have had so much going on in our lives these days, and we were in desperate need of a few days "away from it all."

For a couple years now we've been talking about checking out Dancing Bear Lodge, owned by the proprietors of the famed Blackberry Farm. We'd heard great things about it, but never gotten around to staying there.

So we loaded up the dog and off we went!

It was a fantastically relaxing place to spend a weekend. Quiet. Simple. Rustic. Just what we needed, complete with wood-burning fireplace.

Sunday came way too quickly.

Two Years!

We recently took a second anniversary trip to San Francisco. Trip to the West Coast in four days--not a good idea. But we had a great time. Ate a lot of great food and took the ferry to Sausalito on our anniversary--that was the highlight of the trip for me (excepting the beautiful pearl earrings B bought me for my birthday--thank you, husband!).

We stayed at the Renaissance Stanford Court which was....eh. Had a fabulous anniversary dinner at Boulevard--which mostly lived up to its reputation--and the best cappucino ever at Poggio in Sausalito. The dim sum in SF is just out of this world--I was in love. All in all it was a fantastic trip. We were pooped out by the time we made it back to Nashville--but totally worth it.
